Analysis of Earthquakes Potential Damages as a Disaster Mitigation Effort

Muara Bangkahulu District is one of Bengkulu Province Subdistricts, which used as a place for higher education service centers, government office and community residential areas. has the risk being affected by an earthquake caused its geological conditions. To avoid potential damage due to earthquake, PGA parameters, seismic vulnerability index, ground shear strain, thickness sediment layer (h) were analyzed in effort mitigate earthquakes. The purpose this study describe disaster mitigation effort. This research was qualitative descriptive using literature method. results showed value produced between 184.22 gal 532.92 gal. Distribution index values 0.56 7.95. strain 5.14 x10-5 7.42 x10-4. ranged from 8.13 meters 61.31 meters. largest PGA, IKS, GSS h are Kualo Beach estimated have high level disasters with correlation more than 74%. Thus, it can be concluded that vicinity most prone damage.
